I've been interested in autistic spectrum disorders for many years, especially since I began to work as a psychiatric nurse with children at UCLA's autism research program in the early 1980's. I especially care about parents getting the support they need and helping professionals in my local community to have better insight into how to help children and adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. I'm joining this site because a parent told me that contact with people here has been very helpful for her. Maybe I can learn something too, or share what I know with you. Something interesting to help you remember me: I play the Celtic Harp and live in a rural part of Montana. And I like to watch the dust shimmer in the air when beams of sunlight pass through it.
